Medical Assisting

Medical assistants are a vital part of any healthcare office, completing administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. A medical assistant may take a patient鈥檚 vital signs, record a patient鈥檚 history and personal information, and schedule appointments. Learn more about the Medical Assisting program.

Dental Assisting

Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures like passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may work to make patients more comfortable as they visit a dental office. 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography, dental sealants and procedures, as well as front office duties and patient care.

Veterinary Assisting

If you prefer furry friends to human ones, you may want to consider a career in veterinary assisting. Vet assistants help feed and bathe animals, keep veterinary offices clean and sanitized, and generally assist other veterinary professionals. A vet assistant may work with a wide variety of animals, depending on where they work. Carrington鈥檚 Veterinary Assisting program can be completed in as few as nine months.

黑料不打烊鈥檚 Portland college campus provides hands-on training in a number of medical and professional programs in Oregon. 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Portland campus is centrally located inside the Lloyd Center Mall, within two blocks of the Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue TriMet MAX station stop. Or, if you鈥檙e driving, just take the Rose Quarter Exit off I-5 or the Lloyd Center exit off I-84.

Modern Facilities

Our Portland college campus occupies approximately 18,489 square feet of space and features realistic simulation labs that allow students to learn in environments that mirror real-world facilities.

Classrooms Geared for Learning

Outside the classroom, the Portland college campus offers a Student Center, which includes a medical library equipped with reference materials, textbooks and journals. The Carrington library website offers online resources and professional organization information.
