This year we were proud to announce our first annual “Carrington Cares” initiative where our students, faculty and staff show support for their community during the month of October. Here are just a few examples of what our campuses did to support their local communities. The ϲ Mesa, Phoenix and Las Vegas campuses showed support for their local “” event on Oct. 28, 2023. For more than three decades, these 3–5-mile non-competitive walks have grown into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement – providing a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors. By volunteering with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, our ϲ students, faculty and staff were able to participate in an exciting community event to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer. The ϲ campus in Mesa has been a sponsor of this event and a proud supporter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for more than three years. The ϲ Stockton campus also participated in the Alzheimer’s Association “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” on Oct. 14, 2023. The is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care. Students, faculty and staff from the campus showed support for the organization and their local community by volunteering at the event and helping to organize for others who wished to participate. ϲ’s commitment to supporting local communities during the holidays exemplifies the true spirit of giving back. By actively participating and volunteering in various initiatives, our students demonstrate ϲ’s dedication to making a positive impact. Through these efforts, we not only enrich the lives of those in need, but also set a remarkable example for others to follow. This holiday season, may we all embrace the spirit of compassion through community support.
