According to the , the employment of licensed practical and licensed vocational nurses is projected to grow 9 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the population ages, the need for healthcare services is expected to increase as LPNs and LVNs will be needed in residential care facilities and in-home health environments to care for older patients.
The Practical Nursing program will prepare students for careers as healthcare professionals where they will be able to care for patients in a variety of professional settings including hospitals, nursing facilities, physician offices and in-home health services. 聽 Students will learn about direct patient care, assessment, diagnostic measurements, procedures and treatments. This hands-on clinical training enhances the learning experience and allows students to develop a work history while completing their studies. The best part is that the program allows students to further their studies in a real-world medical environment enrolling cohorts of up to 24 students.
